Queen City Groove

Queen City Groove is an a cappella group based in Charlotte, NC. We perform music from every genre - from pop to jazz, country, rock, and standards - all without instruments.

We perform at professional music venues, private parties, restaurants, benefit concerts, corporate events, and sporting events.

Queen City Groove entered the Sing! 2011 competition in June and is happy to report that we made it to the 2nd round. We performed at Birkdale Village on October 8th. To enter the competition, we went into the recording studio and recorded a few songs. We plan to return to the studio soon to get more high-quality music to post on our "Music" page.

In November and December, we performed at several Christmas gigs, including the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens in Gastonia. We are getting ready to go into the studio and record a demo, and we're really excited about that.

We are proud to announce that one of our members is a CARA award nominated arranger (check out her website Sweet Sounds A Cappella), and she has created some awesome arrangements for us. We have also teamed up with Shawn Pearce, of Value Vocals, and he has done several arrangements for us as well.

Check out our "Repertoire" page to see the types of music that we perform. One of the best things about our group is that we can sing the 70's groove hit "September" (Earth Wind and Fire), then the recent pop hit "Rumour Has It" (Adele), then follow it up with a classic like "In the Still of the Night." We are enjoying the musicality and versatility of the members in our group.

We will be constantly updating our website, so check back for updates!
